Bundi

A Hada kingdom located in the saddle-like fold of the hills, this is a beautifully located fortitified settlement. Its fort and palaces are impressive, especially for the delicacy and profusion of their architectural embellishments, and Bundi is equally well known for its stepwells, as well as for its school of paintings.

Haveli Braj Bhushanji: Built to overlook the City Palace in the typical Rajasthani idiom, the haveli was built a hundred-andfifty-years ago by a family that gave the state four of its prime ministers. Within the haveli, the rooms are spacious, and there are large courtyards. Only vegetarian cuisine is served in this 15-room heritage property.

Ishwari Niwas: Built in the Indo-Saracenic tradition in the 1920s, the mansion has been with members of the royal family except for the period when it was a royal guest house. In a sense, that is what it is now, with comfortably furnished rooms.
