The surrounding countryside also offered sanctuary to the Pandava brothers in their final year of exile from their kingdom. Sariska is 36 km from Alwar, 115 km from Jaipur, and 199 km from Delhi.Sariska Palace: Built at the close of the 19th century as a royal hunting lodge, the palace was extensively renovated and converted into a hotel with 47 rooms and a multi-cuisine restaurant in the 1980s. It has extensive lawns, a conference hall and a tennis court, and also has art-deco furniture and furnishings in the rooms. Its large lawns are well tended.
