Nature Heritage Resort, Bandhavgarh


The resort is located in village Tala adjoining Bandhavgarh National Park. It is 240 km from Khajuraho & 35 from Umaria in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

National Park : Bandhavgarh

Accommodation : 14 cottage type twin-bedded rooms with attached toilets. Hot and cold running water.

Facilities :
- A restaurant where Indian, continental and Chinese cuisine are served.
- A stand-by generator.
- To and fro transport from Khajuraho, Umaria & Satna can be arranged at an extra cost.

Activities : Wildlife viewing by jeeps, elephant rides (subject to availability), bird watching, nature walks, treks etc

Access : Drive from Khajuraho: 6 hours

Drive from Satna: 3 1/2 hours

Closest railhead: Umaria (1 hr. drive)

Air-conditioned day trains from New Delhi railway station departing at 1300 hr. and 0500 hr.

Time taken to reach: 17 hr. approx.

Best time : November-June

Climate of Bandhavgarh
The climate is tropical. During summer the temperature rises to over 42 degree centigrade.

October-February is cold.

March-April is moderate.

May-June is warm.

Natural Khakhis, Grey & Green clothes recommended. Carry Camera, Binoculars, Sunglasses & Hats.

How to reach Bandhavgarh

By Air: The most comfortable route to Bandhavgarh is by air to Khajuraho (250 km), from where it is a 5 hour drive.

By Rail: The nearest railheads are Jabalpur (170 km), Katni (102km), and Satna (112 km) on the Central Railway and Umaria (30 km) on theSouth Eastern Railway.

By Road: State/private transport buses ply between Katni and Umaria, and from Satna and Rewa to Tala (Bandhavgarh).
