Tadoba National Park and Tiger Reserve

Location of Tadoba National Park : In the district of Chandrapur in Maharashtra State. Nearest airport is Nagpur, 208km (129 miles) from the park, Nearest town. (ind railhead is Chandrapur (45km; 28 miles).

Climate of Tadoba National Park : Winters are cold (minimtfm8°C; 46°F). while the summer months are searing (maximum 46°F; 115°F).

When to go ( Tadoba National Park) : The summer months (Ma.rch to June) and winter season (November to February) after the monsoon rains are the best times to visit the park.

Getting to Tadoba National Park : The park is accessible from Chandrapur, where jeeps can be hired. Tourists may enter in their own motor vehicles. There are also buses to the park.

Facilities at Tadoba National Park : Chandrapur has its own lodges and catering facilities. There are rest houses, huts and youth hostels in the core of the forest. with canteen facilities. Platforms constructed in the trees serve as watchtowers. Night guided tours in jeeps and minibuses fitted with searchlights can be arranged with the Forest Department

Wildlife in Tadoba National Park : Leopard, Jackal, Samhar, Chital, Common Langur, Nilgai, Wild Boar. Tiger are not very Visible. Wildlife is best viewed at twilight and into the night, when animals emerge to feed.

Precautions : It is advisable for visitors to carry mosquito repellent and mosquito coils while visiting the park; both are available locally.
