Journey Through Wild India
Travel Angel Says: The natural wilderness in India is one of the most diverse in the world. The rugged mountains, the wondrous deserts, the dense forest, all offer a great opportunity to satisfy an adventurous spirit

The beautiful valley of the Himalayas with its wild desolate countryside gorges rivers all pass through Indian Territory. Trekking through these areas exploring its virgin unknown world, is an experience in itself.

India is a Tiger Country. World renowned for its population of tigers, National Parks in India provides excellent opportunities for observing these magnificient animals in the wild on jeep drives and elephant backs. While this lushly forested country is immediately familiar to readers of Rudyard Kipling, it has also recently been the site of extensive research on the ecology of tigers, deer, langour, Barasingha deer, gaur and wild dogs.

Of the 8650 species of birds in the world, India is home to as many as 1200 (roughly 14%), out of which 141 are endemic to this region. Interestingly, ornithologists have classified birdlife into 27 Orders and 155 Families and India boasts of 20 Orders and 77 Families.

Many of the North-Eastern region of India is quite a mystery. But if you were to visit the flood plains of the Brahmaputra River in Assam, you`d stumble across one of India`s best kept secret - "Kaziranga - The RHINO LAND". Often referred to as the "Land of Giants", the riverine habitat consists primarily of tall, dense grasslands and tropical wet evergreen forests. Interconnecting streams and numerous small lakes or `Bheels` dot the eastern Himalayan landscape.

Indian forest is inhabited by some of the most primitive tribes of the world. Their way of life is something, which has to be seen to be believed. Each tribe with its different culture, crafts and tradition never fails to impress. IndiaTravel Plus welcome you to explore this huge biodiversity.

Just Go Wild!
